Celebrated by media around the world, she has been described by The Observer as one of todays most exciting and technically gifted young pianists, while Madame Figaro has called her the popstar of the classical music world, adding that with Khatia Buniatishvili, only the repertoire is classical. This brilliant young musician now turns her attention to Franz Schubert (17971828) in her eagerly anticipated first recording of the composers works, including his great last Piano Sonata D 960, the four popular Impromptus D 899, and Liszts arrangement of Standchen from Schwanengesang. Euphoria sits at the crossroads of a very exciting time in the early 1990s when artists like Seefeel, Moonshake, and Aphex Twin were mining emerging technologies and pushing British music in new directions. A leftfield electronic pop album without peer, Euphoria incorporates programmed beats, elements of neoclassical minimalism, and the soothing voice and acerbic lyrics of singer Kirsty Yates into a memorable and masterful collection of songs that sound Like nothing else, either then or now. Reviews at the time reference composers like Steve Reich and Brian Eno as well as groups like My Bloody Valentine and AR Kane and describe it as being both ''danceable'' and ''ambient''. Originally released on 4AD offshoot label Guernica (Unrest, Bettie Serveert, Spoonfed Hybrid), it made many year-end lists in 1993 and demands rediscovery and reappraisal in 2019 given our current era of genre-splicing experimentation. HANCOCK HERBIE - DIRECTSTEP HANCOCK HERBIE - DIRECTSTEP Discográfica:   Get On Down 2019 Black Friday Record Store Day Throughout the 1970s, legendary jazz pianist and composer Herbie Hancock engaged in a prolonged period of experimentation across sounds and recording formats, releasing several albums for Columbia that were only issued in Japan. 1979's Directstep was one such album, one that made use of a new form of recording technology called Direct-To-Disc. This method recorded masters, in real time, to acetate discs, rendering incredibly high fidelity LP pressings, but sacrificing the ability to edit or overdub, a challenge Hancock and his group were more than up to. Directstep utilized other technological advancements as well, incorporating brand new electronic instrument technology such as the electronic wind instrument the Lyricon, the freshly released Propet-5 synthesizer, and of course the Sennheiser Vocoder which would become a key part of the artist's arsenal during his electro-funk period in the 1980s. Beyond all that, Directstep is an incredibly solid collection of Herbie Hancock material, featuring stirring remakes of Hancock staples Butterfly and I Thought It Was You as well as brand new track Shiftless Shuffle. Rich Kid Blues is a studio album by Marianne Faithfull, recorded in 1971 under the name Masques and released in 1985. Produced by Mike Leander, who had produced and arranged much of Faithfull's Decca material, Rich Kid Blues is an intriguing album of spare, largely acoustic readings of folk/rock songs including several Bob Dylan covers, as well as songs by Phil Ochs, George Harrison, Cat Stevens, Tim Hardin, James Taylor and Sandy Denny. Marianne Faithfull had this to say about the 1971 recordings: The record itself is very strange and ghostly. It's the voice of somebody incredibly high, probably on the edge of death. They always sound like that. Johnny Thunders sounds like that. Anybody who heard that record would have said, 'Well that's that. We'll never hear from her again'.

Meses después ya en 1983 sale otro nuevo single, la irresistiblemente pegadiza “(Keep Feeling) Fascination ” que fue otro grandísimo éxito y que desgraciadamente ha envejecido fatal. Todo parecía preparado para la edición del nuevo álbum con dos grandes éxitos de adelanto pero el grupo no estaba convencido con el material que tenían entre manos y se produce una crisis en el grupo que termina con la ruptura de relaciones con el productor Martin Rushent y el comienzo desde cero del nuevo álbum con los productores Hugh Padgham y Chris Thomas, mientras en USA se edita el ep “ Fascination! ” con temas procedentes de los singles “ Mirror man ” y “ Keep feeling (Fascination), aparte de un tema nuevo “ i love you to much ” en una versión producida por Rushent muy superior y diferente a la que terminaría en el siguiente álbum del grupo “hysteria”. The EP was issued by Virgin Records in North America (though made available in Europe as an import) as a stop-gap release in between the albums Dare (1981) and Hysteria (1984). The original vinyl release of Fascination! contained six tracks, including two versions of their single "(Keep Feeling) Fascination" as well as " Mirror Man ", both of which were hits in the UK and the U.S. Also included is " Hard Times ", which was originally the B-side of their 1981 hit "Love Action" and also appears on the band's 1982 remix album Love and Dancing. The featured version of "I Love You Too Much" is an earlier version of the song that would later be released on the band's Hysteria album in 1984. The album was released as a digital download in 2008 with a bonus track, a dub version of "I Love You Too Much". A CD version was released as part of the "deluxe edition" release of Dare in 2012,[2] minus Hard Times, but with other extra tracks. In November 2015 a Limited Edition Single-CD is released (only in Japan), same Tracklist as the Dare "deluxe edition".
