El quinteto canadiense formado en Ontario (sin olvidar al tejano Levon Helm, increíble batería & vocalista), apadrinados por Ronnie Hawkins, estaba formado por Jaime Robbie Robertson (guitarra & vocalista), Rick Danko (bajo & vocalista), Richard Manuel (piano, órgano & vocalista) y el gran Garth Hudson (multiinstrumentista de vientos y teclados- éste era el "callado"). No es broma, en éste grupo varios eran los vocalistas principales, cada uno con su estilo... Helm profundo, Danko sentido, Manuel borrachín melancólico sobre su piano, Robertson con sus notas de guitarra camuflada, al servicio del conjunto. Wilson era un cantante dinámico que había cantado para Billy Ward y sus dominó desde 1953 (reemplazó al difunto Clyde McPhatter que fue despedido por Ward) hasta que salió en solitario en 1956. Esta compilación  lo tiene todo, incluidos sus lados finales para Brunswick Records. En 1975, Wilson, de 41 años, apareció en un concierto de rock and roll en Cherry Hill, Nueva Jersey, cuando casi murio de un colapsó en el escenario. Al principio, se pensó en su inconsciencia. para ser parte de su acto (acababa de comenzar 'Lonely Teardrops'), luego la gente se dio cuenta de que era más grave; había sufrido un ataque cardíaco. Desafortunadamente, pasaron unos 20 minutos antes de que su corazón se reiniciara pero permaneció en coma. durante algún tiempo. Recuperó la conciencia unos años más tarde, pero nunca pudo volver a actuar. Murió en 1984 a la edad de 49 años. CROSBY !! rara 1ª ORG EDIT USA, super DOBLE CARPETA, EXC siempre buscado 1º lp un albun ya legendario que significo  el debut en la musica de una figura importate llmada joni mitchell estupenda 1ª edic. original usa con la gruesa doble carpeta conteniendo en si interior los textos de los temas.., preciosa doble carpeta pintada por joni mitchell.. el albun esta considerado como una de las grandes obras maestras de finales de los 60, en el albun colabroa stephen stills. y esta producido por david crosby Antes del álbum, Mitchell ya había escrito canciones que fueron éxitos para otros artistas: 'Both Sides Now' y 'Chelsea Morning' para Judy Collins, 'Eastern Rain' para Fairport Convention y 'Urge for Going', 'The Circle Game' y ' Tin Angel 'para Tom Rush, pero ella eligió no grabar ninguno para su debut.  El álbum fue grabado en Sunset Sound en Hollywood, California durante la última parte de 1967.  David Crosby fue asignado como productor como parte del acuerdo con Reprise Records.  Crosby quería que Mitchell sonara pura y natural, por lo que le pidió que cantara en el piano de cola del estudio y que configurara micrófonos adicionales para capturar su voz reverberando en las cuerdas; Mitchell había escrito canciones que fueron éxitos para otros artistas (por ejemplo, 'Both Sides Now' y 'Chelsea Morning' de Judy Collins y Dave Van Ronk, 'Eastern Rain' de Fairport Convention, 'Urge for Going' y 'The Circle Game' por Tom Rush), pero ninguna de esas canciones se grabó para su debut.
