This is proved through this 10inch album, a reissue of an original Brazilian 1956 Bill Haley & His Comets platter,which is one of the rarest amongst hard-to-find albums, today. Bill Haley & His Comets already started to rock around the world with Rock Around The Clock in 1955 which was also the title song in the movie 'Blackboard Jungle'. He became the first boss of Rock and he eventually also reached the country of Brazil in 1956. Haley got millions of fans in Brazil and therefore he went on several tours throughout the country of Brazil during the following years. It started with two movies starring Bill Haley & His Comets, 'Rock Around The Clock', and 'Don't Knock The Rock', which found their ways into Brazilian movie theaters resulting into decisions by the record company Decca to issue Haley's records in slightly different forms in Brazil as well. Those platters are some of today's most sought-after collector's items because of their limited ordinance. Besides the title track on 'See You Later, Alligator - Rock'n'Roll com Bill Haley e seus Cometas', there are more hit-songs such as The Saints Rock'n'Roll, an adaption of the late standard When The Saints Go Marching In, Teenager's Mother (Are You Right?), plus some songs from the above mentioned movies, including the breath-taking instrumental Rudy's Rock, which features Haley's saxophone-man, Rudy Pompilli. All these songs are not only music history but dancefloor fillers! This music gets you in the mood to dance, to rock around the clock!We added two bonus tracks to the song lineup of the original album for your extra pleasure. Both bonus tracks were recorded in 1956. Two Hound Dogs could've been meant as an answer song to Presley's Hound Dog. The second bonus song, Hide And Seek, is sung by Billy Williamson of the Comets.

Dandy Livingstone, the Jamaican British songwriter performer producer responsible for the hits Suzanne, Beware of the Devil, Rudy, A Message to You (later covered by The Specials), and Version Girl (later covered by UB40). This 1968 platter is his second solo album, and one of the first long-players issued by the legendary Trojan label (catalog # TRL-2!); it's a must-have, highly sought-after rocksteady release featuring a host of Dandy originals along with covers of Chad & Jeremy's Only a Fool Breaks His Own Heart (also notably recorded by Mighty Sparrow at about the same time) and the Beatles Yesterday. This is the first-ever reissue in any format of this highly collectible classic; we've pressed it up in orange vinyl limited to 1000 copies!

The debut album Wreckless Eric was released in June, 1978, and the second The Wonderful World Of Wreckless followed just four months later. It was a whole two years before Big Smash arrived. In terms of chart position this album was Wreckless Eric's most successful, peaking at #30 in the albums chart.

No estamos diciendo que este no es un buen disco, nada mas alejado de eso, 'Midnight To Midnight' es lo mas cercano que puedes estar de algo bueno si ser genial. 'Midnight To Midnight' es dificil de describir en palabras, es el pinaculo de la apatia de principio a fin. Toma varias veces de escucharlo hasta que finalmente se torna familiar. La tematica de las canciones giran alrededor de la idea comun del amor y de las separaciones. Como por ejemplo en " Heartbreak Beat ", el single mas importante del disco. The next year the two cut the similar-sounding  Under Wraps  using the  Jethro Tull  banner. Most of the work, including drum programming, was done by  Anderson  in his home studio before guitar and (scant) bass guitar were added. The group members were excited about their latest sounds, which brought a cold edginess to the usual intricate music (the acoustic "Under Wraps No. 2" being one exception). Lyrically,  Anderson  was letting go of his Olde English façade; here he showed his fascination with Cold War-era espionage. While the British audiences didn't mind the changes, U.S. buyers pretty much hated the album. Compared to the U.S. number 19 position of 1982's  The Broadsword and the Beast,  Under Wraps  never got past number 76. (Crest of a Knave, three years later, shot up to number 33.) The original release had 11 tracks, with "Astronomy," "Tundra," "Automotive Engineering," and "General Crossing" appearing as B-sides and bonus tracks around the world. Now the standard release carries all 15 tracks.

Given the sadly neglected status of the band's early catalog -- meaning anything that was released prior to 1982's breakthrough  New Gold Dream (81-82-83-84)  -- through the early 2000s, it is doubly unfortunate that a compilation like this remained out of print for an extended period of time. And though the studio albums remained in print in the U.K.,  Simple Minds ' early years hardly received the red carpet compilation treatment that their later works did. While nothing here came close to approaching the stadium-pleasing popularity of later smashes like "Don't You (Forget About Me)," "Alive and Kicking," or even "Promised You a Miracle,"  Celebration  might provide a little shock to an initiated someone who snaps up a copy. It's a near-definite that plenty of people who own  New Gold Dream  and/or the  Glittering Prize 81/92 compilation remain oblivious to the fact that  Simple Minds  released five albums that ranged from good to spectacular between 1979 and 1981, before  New Gold Dream  came along with its perfect balance of art and pop to connect with a mass audience. Not only was 1979-1981 a prolific period for the band, but it was a period that witnessed them blossoming from a decent guitar-based post-punk band to a far more rhythmic and experimental entity that gradually shed their influences while ambitiously building on them. And as the few brave souls who have remained devout  Simple Minds  fans from day one might tell you,  Celebration  has stood the test of time better than  Glittering Prize  track-for-track.

In a professional career that lasted 60 years, he demonstrated a remarkable ability to maintain his appeal and pursue his musical goals despite often countervailing trends. He came to the fore during the swing era of the 1930s and '40s, helped to define the "sing era" of the '40s and '50s, and continued to attract listeners during the rock era that began in the mid-'50s. He scored his first number one hit in 1940 and was still making million-selling recordings in 1994. This popularity was a mark of his success at singing and promoting the American popular song as it was written, particularly in the 1920s, '30s, and '40s. He was able to take the work of great theater composers of that period, such as  Jerome Kern,  Irving Berlin,  George Gershwin,  Cole Porter, and  Richard Rodgers, and reinterpret their songs for later audiences in a way that led to their rediscovery and their permanent enshrinement as classics. On records and in live performances, on film, radio, and television, he consistently sang standards in a way that demonstrated their perennial appeal.

Meses después ya en 1983 sale otro nuevo single, la irresistiblemente pegadiza “(Keep Feeling) Fascination ” que fue otro grandísimo éxito y que desgraciadamente ha envejecido fatal. The EP was issued by Virgin Records in North America (though made available in Europe as an import) as a stop-gap release in between the albums Dare (1981) and Hysteria (1984). The original vinyl release of Fascination! contained six tracks, including two versions of their single "(Keep Feeling) Fascination" as well as " Mirror Man ", both of which were hits in the UK and the U.S. Also included is " Hard Times ", which was originally the B-side of their 1981 hit "Love Action" and also appears on the band's 1982 remix album Love and Dancing. The featured version of "I Love You Too Much" is an earlier version of the song that would later be released on the band's Hysteria album in 1984. The album was released as a digital download in 2008 with a bonus track, a dub version of "I Love You Too Much". A CD version was released as part of the "deluxe edition" release of Dare in 2012,[2] minus Hard Times, but with other extra tracks. In November 2015 a Limited Edition Single-CD is released (only in Japan), same Tracklist as the Dare "deluxe edition".  

HUMAN LEAGUE - HISTERIA - ALBUM VINILO ORIGINAL 1984 PRIMERA EDICION VIRGIN RECORDS HUMAN LEAGUE - HISTERIA - ALBUM VINILO ORIGINAL 1984 PRIMERA EDICION VIRGIN RECORDS En 1984 sale “ Hysteria ”, el grupo parece que quiere hacer un pop mas organico, menos electrónico y menos energico que el ofrecido anteriormente,  contiene tres singles: la sorprendente “ the lebannon ” tanto por las guitarras muy cercanas al rock como por la letra muy política, esta claro que el publico del grupo, acostumbrado a cosas mas ligeras, quedo impactado con esta cancion como adelanto del nuevo album, en la cara b de este single nos encontramos la instrumental " thirteen " que en mi opinion debio ir en el album pues es un tema muy bueno. El invernal medio tiempo “ life on your own ” es quizas el sonido que hubiese sido ideal para todo el album y para diferenciarse de su anterior etapa, sin embargo se trata de un caso mas bien aislado. Luego tenemos la excelente balada “ louise ”, una bonita cancion que parece la segunda parte de " don't you want me " por la letra y que tiene unos bajos envolventes que son una pura delicia. Quizas podriamos añadir a los tres singles del album el tema " so hurt " una cancion muy bien construida con el dramatismo justo y un uso inteligente de los sintetizadores. El pop esta muy presente en el álbum, por ejemplo " i'm coming back ", cabe preguntarse como habrían sonado estas canciones con la producción de Martin Rushent. Jo Callis, deja la banda en medio de la promocion de " Hysteria " poco despues seria sustituido por el bateria Jim Russel que no iba a durar demasiado en el grupo. En medio de esta epoca problematica Phil Oakey disfruto de un momento dulce al colaborar con uno de sus idolos Giorgio Moroder en el single "together in electric dreams" tema principal de la pelicula "electric dreams", este single inesperadamente tuvo un exito masivo, tanto que se planeo un album completo para desarrollar esta colaboracion. Following the worldwide success of their 1981 album Dare, the band struggled to make a successful follow-up and the sessions for Hysteria were fraught with problems. The album name itself is taken from the problematic recording period. Producers Martin Rushent and Chris Thomas both left the project which would eventually be finished by producer Hugh Padgham. By the time Hysteria was released, three years had passed since Dare and the album met with relatively lacklustre success in comparison to its multi-platinum predecessor. Three singles from the album made the top-twenty of the UK singles chart but none of them reached the top-ten and " The Lebanon " was the only single to chart in the US, stalling at number sixty-four on the Billboard Hot 100. The album peaked at number three in the UK, later being certified Gold by the BPI for sales in excess of 100,000 copies. In 2005, Hysteria was remastered and re-issued with B-sides and extended mixes as bonus tracks. The song "Rock Me Again And Again And Again And Again And Again And Again " is a cover of a 1973 song by Lyn Collins and James Brown. " I Love You Too Much " is a re-recorded version from the Fascination! EP and " Don't You Know I Want You " is a reworked version of the instrumental B-side "Total Panic!" that appeared on the "(Keep Feeling) Fascination" single in 1983.  

EBERHARD SCHOENER (STING / ANDY SUMMERS) - VIDEO MAGIC - VINILO ORIGINAL 1978 HARVEST ALEMANIA EBERHARD SCHOENER (STING / ANDY SUMMERS) - VIDEO MAGIC - VINILO ORIGINAL 1978 HARVEST ALEMANIA A raíz de su colaboración con Jon Lord, más conocido por ser el teclista de los Deep Purple, Andy Summers entró en contacto con Eberhard – quien se encargaba por aquel entonces de orquestar algunos temas del álbum de Lord “Sarabande” (1976) – quien le ofreció la oportunidad de grabar en Munich varias pistas de guitarra para el proyecto que preparaba, “The book” (1977). Schoener quedó tan contento con el resultado que contrató a Andy para “Trance-formation” (1977), en donde tuvo absoluta libertad para grabar en los huecos que le dejaba la banda a la que acababa de vincularse, The Police.El numeroso y bien remunerado trabajo que ofrece Schoener pronto alcanza a los tres miembros de la banda – el conductor alemán no necesitaba un bajista pero cambió de opinión cuando escuchó cantar a Sting, decidiendo incluir también su voz en sus recargados espectáculos -, quienes aprovechan la estancia en Munich – en noviembre del 77 – para grabar un álbum, “Flashback” (1978) y dar alguna comparecencia en vivo. Después de que Police completara la grabación de su disco de debut, “ Outlandos d’amour ” (1978) y probara sus nuevas canciones aún como teloneros de grupos como Spirit o Steel Pulse, son requeridos nuevamente por Schoener para una gira que durante la segunda mitad de mayo del 78 les llevará por Munich, Ofenbach, Köln o Düsseldorf.  La actividad del grupo vuelve a ser interrumpida por los requerimientos de Schoener – quien en esta ocasión ya no cuenta con Stewart debido a que su hermano Miles le convence de que estas escapadas no son lo más adecuado para The Police – que les tiene preparado una gira por toda Alemania en enero del 79 en la que visitaran Berlín, Hamburgo, Bremen, Frankfurt o Hannover. Entre la maratoniana gira se saca tiempo para grabar un nuevo álbum, “ Video magic ” (1978) en la que se incluyen temas tan destacables como “ Speech behind speech ”, “ Natural high ” o “ Codeword Elvis ”. Sería la última vez que Eberhard contara con Sting y Andy como parte de su “Rock group” porque a su vuelta a Londres comprobaron que las reediciones de “ Can’t stand losing you ” y “ So lonely ” les había puesto en boca de todos. Eberhard Schoener necesitaba una banda de músicos versátiles para formar parte del show que estaba creando.Nosotros acabábamos de formar The Police y necesitábamos desesperadamente fondos para mantener con vida nuestros sueños de estrellato. tracks: •octogon •speech behind speech •natural high •code-word elvis •video-magic •night bound city •san francisco waitress •koan Featuring Sting (Police), Andy Summers (Police), Evert Fraterman and Olaf Kubler.  Eberhard Schoener is a German composer, conductor, arranger, and keyboard player.   Now let it be known that I am reviewing the original German print of Eberhard Schoener's Video Magic on the Harvest label, rather than a compilation called Video Magic released in 1979 that consisted of material from both Video Magic and Flashback (1978) (often called Video Flashback, especially later on to avoid confusion). Now this has got to be the most unusual thing on the face of the planet: to hear The Police do prog rock. On Schoener's previous album, Flashback, he had all three members, Sting, Andy Summers play on that album. I have to say I hadn't heard that one. With Video Magic, Stewart Copeland sat this one out, with Evert Fraterman in his place. I have to let you know that Schoener had Andy Summers play on many of his albums even way before The Police ever existed. The album opens with " Octagon ", which is an instrumental piece, dominated by Andy Summers guitar playing. Here, I get reminded so much more of Pink Floyd than anything The Police would ever do. Sting here is sticking to bass duty. " Speech Behind Speech " is a real trip: totally drenched with Mellotron, and Sting here is doing the singing. You know right away that Sting's voice is perfect for the usual music you expect the Police to do, but in a prog setting, it sounds really peculiar. " Natural High ", again has Sting doing vocals, it's about as close to The Police sound you're gonna get here, but it's still packed with Mellotron, and is actually an excellent song. All this Mellotron work came from Schoener himself. " Code Word Elvis " is largely an orchestral piece, no surprise, given that Eberhard Schoener had spent his time conducting orchestras. " Night Bound City " is a purely electronic piece that you know none of the dudes from The Police participated in, while " San Francisco Waitress " brings to mind Sting's post-Police solo albums like Dream of the Blue Turtles, especially because of the jazzy feel and sax (although sax here is by Olaf Kübler, who used a tenor sax, unlike Branford Marsalis who tended to soprano sax). The last piece, "Koan" is an instrumental piece that tends to be rather minimalist. Now this isn't going to be the greatest thing you'll ever hear. Police fans might find it a bit unsettling to see their heroes doing prog rock, and neither is it the most cohesive album out there (Schoener couldn't decide whether to do prog rock, electronic, or orchestral music), but if you're a proghead and you wonder what would happen if the Police were a prog rock band, give this album a try (you can also see that The Police would never be anywhere as popular as they were if they were a prog rock band, beside they came during the punk/new wave era and capitalized on that instead, which was to their benefit). But get this album if you can find it for cheap, which is what I did. Don't overspend. File this under: curiosity.

While Disillusion's Back To Times Of Splendor was an instant classic of progressive melodic death upon it's release in 2004, the group from Leipzig, Germany, pushed the envelope even more two years later on the rigorously innovative Gloria - yet it is fair to say that the most glorious years for one of the best kept secrets to come from the metal underground (Blabbermouth) are yet to come. In 2016, when the single Alea, their first new recording in a decade, came out to test the waters in the wake of successful concerts with a refurbished line-up, Disillusion found themselves graced with an incredibly loyal fan base that made the band give in to the urge of approaching their first full-length in ten years. In the course of a crowdfunding campaign, intiated with the hope to support the creation of that album, the dream of every niche artist became true: It's overwhelming success enabled main man Andy Schmidt to invest almost two years full-time into writing and recording a new Disillusion record without having to take on a day job for sustenance. That fan-finance actually laid the foundation for this work cannot be valued highly enough. The Liberation is the result of the Herculean creative task Andy Schmidt applied himself to, spending countless hours of songwriting and recording. It comes 13 years after Gloria but stands as the logical stylistic successor to Back To Times Of Splendor, offering genuinely enthusiastic, passionate and driven prog metal with a corresponding lyrical outlook yet one and a half decade of additional life experience on the part of it's creator.
