HUMAN LEAGUE - HISTERIA - ALBUM VINILO ORIGINAL 1984 PRIMERA EDICION VIRGIN RECORDS HUMAN LEAGUE - HISTERIA - ALBUM VINILO ORIGINAL 1984 PRIMERA EDICION VIRGIN RECORDS En 1984 sale “ Hysteria ”, el grupo parece que quiere hacer un pop mas organico, menos electrónico y menos energico que el ofrecido anteriormente,  contiene tres singles: la sorprendente “ the lebannon ” tanto por las guitarras muy cercanas al rock como por la letra muy política, esta claro que el publico del grupo, acostumbrado a cosas mas ligeras, quedo impactado con esta cancion como adelanto del nuevo album, en la cara b de este single nos encontramos la instrumental " thirteen " que en mi opinion debio ir en el album pues es un tema muy bueno. El invernal medio tiempo “ life on your own ” es quizas el sonido que hubiese sido ideal para todo el album y para diferenciarse de su anterior etapa, sin embargo se trata de un caso mas bien aislado. Luego tenemos la excelente balada “ louise ”, una bonita cancion que parece la segunda parte de " don't you want me " por la letra y que tiene unos bajos envolventes que son una pura delicia. Quizas podriamos añadir a los tres singles del album el tema " so hurt " una cancion muy bien construida con el dramatismo justo y un uso inteligente de los sintetizadores. El pop esta muy presente en el álbum, por ejemplo " i'm coming back ", cabe preguntarse como habrían sonado estas canciones con la producción de Martin Rushent. Jo Callis, deja la banda en medio de la promocion de " Hysteria " poco despues seria sustituido por el bateria Jim Russel que no iba a durar demasiado en el grupo. En medio de esta epoca problematica Phil Oakey disfruto de un momento dulce al colaborar con uno de sus idolos Giorgio Moroder en el single "together in electric dreams" tema principal de la pelicula "electric dreams", este single inesperadamente tuvo un exito masivo, tanto que se planeo un album completo para desarrollar esta colaboracion. Following the worldwide success of their 1981 album Dare, the band struggled to make a successful follow-up and the sessions for Hysteria were fraught with problems. The album name itself is taken from the problematic recording period. Producers Martin Rushent and Chris Thomas both left the project which would eventually be finished by producer Hugh Padgham. By the time Hysteria was released, three years had passed since Dare and the album met with relatively lacklustre success in comparison to its multi-platinum predecessor. With so much new material on deck, it seems like Harrison is making up the difference. Half a dozen tracks from this treasure trove of new tunes have already been posted one-by-one in real time and real weather as Harrison describes this creative process, and now the first of an eventual four albums that will ultimately contain much of the entire song cycle, has been announced. Arriving on CD and Digital on July 29th 2016 and a deluxe Limited Edition Vinyl LP release on September 2nd 2016, the eleven-track Death of The Cool contains another nine of Harrisons pure pop meditations on Chinese philosophy, along with the two currently available tracks that initially announced the project The Book of Too Late Changes (based on I Ching hexagram #24: The Return) and Child Bride (based on #4: Youthful Folly.) Each songs commentary on the albums reflects how a translator traditionally shares thoughts on the reading, Harrison says. Se colocó entre las 70 mejores de Inglaterra. Pero no es una canción dedicada a una mujer y no tiene un contenido muy romántico. Cuenta una triste historia sobre un ingeniero civil. La segunda canción fuerte del álbum ‘ Nothing like the sun’, es en la que Sting rinde homenaje a Ben Linder, un ingeniero civil estadounidense muerto el 28 de abril de 1987 en forma muy despiadada a manos de la ‘Contra’ de Nicaragua. The Spanish version features as a b-side to "I'm So Happy I Can't Stop Crying".The song is a tribute to Ben Linder, an American civil engineer who was killed by the Contras in 1987 while working on a hydroelectric project in Nicaragua. The song was featured in the 1992 Academy Award winning documentary film The Panama Deception, about the U.S. invasion of Panama in December 1989. "Fragile" was the opening song in Sting's...All This Time concert, recorded on the evening of the September 11 attacks in 2001. The song also appears in the closing scenes of "Come from the Shadows", episode 59 of 21 Jump Street, the fourth episode of Season Four. The song also appears in the 1995 Oscar nominated documentary The Living Sea.

In a career spanning 45 years, Leo Sayer has sold more than 80 million records worldwide. The Fantasy Years 1979-1983 is the third of a series of vinyl LP box sets and completes his first decade of recordings made for Chrysalis Records. The Fantasy Years 1979-1983 comprises Leo's four studio albums. Here (released 1979/UK #44), Living In A Fantasy (released 1980/UK #15) which included the #2 hit single 'More Than I Can Say', World Radio (released in 1982/UK # 30) and Have You Ever Been In Love (released 1983/UK #15) with the title track hitting the UK Top 10 and showed how Leo collaborated with other producers, as his career progressed into the 1980s. Leo recorded these four albums with a variety of new producers including Arif Mardin, Alan Tarney and Christopher Neil, as well as being reunited with David Courtney. The Bee Gees specifically wrote 'Heart (Stop Beating In Time)' for Leo.
