The brief "Blues for Mingus," a wry salute from one master bassist to another (Mingus  died about six months before this album's release), is a cool acoustic breather for piano trio, and the eloquent  Stan Getz  can be detected, though nearly buried under the garish vocals and rock-style mix, on "The Streets of Philadelphia." Yet even the talented  Clarke  in full creative flower couldn't quite fill a double set with new material, so he has a tendency to reprise some of his old memorable riffs a lot, and there are several energetic snapshots of his live band in action. In its zeal to get this two-LP set onto one disc, Epic deleted three of the original 15 tracks -- including at least one gem, the sizzling hard rocker "All About" -- and scrambled the order of the remaining tunes. Which is dumb, because the missing tracks only take up a bit less than 12 minutes of playing time, not enough to overload a 65-minute disc. Hunt for the double-LP version if you can still play vinyl.

Broadcast * Precintado Grabación directa de radio de 1976 inédita. Retransmisión en vivo a principios de 1976 desde el legendario Roxy Theatre de Los Ángeles por la radio KMET FM de esa ciudad, esta obra captura al ex líder de Velvet Underground, Lou Reed,  interpretando una selección de ocho canciones de algunos de sus mejores trabajos que había lanzado. a esa coyuntura. Con un sublime I m Waiting For The Man que se remonta al primer álbum de VU, Lisa Says, una canción escrita en una época similar y de hecho tocada por los Velvet pero no editada hasta su inclusión en el primer LP epónimo en solitario de Lou en 1972, y dos cortes cada uno de Coney Island Baby del 75 de octubre (Kicks y la canción principal) y su aún por publicar Rock and Roll Heart (I Believe In Love & You Wear It So Well), un disco que no se publicó hasta octubre del 76. Sin embargo, nunca tocaría sin olvidar ... Wild Side, por lo que una interpretación de 10 minutos de esta melodía clásica proporciona el penúltimo número de esta actuación enérgica.
