Opening with a shocking Eyes Of The World, the Dead were firing on all cylinders from the openingnotes of the show. Featuring beloved classics such as Truckin’ and Uncle John’s Band. Rarities played at this showincluded Saint Of Circumstance, Might As Well, New Speedway Boogie, and China Doll, but the real standout inregards to the setlist choices was the recurrence of Dark Star, which wove in and out of the setlist throughout theshow, including during the first set, making no less than six distinct appearances during the show. BUNIATISHVILI KHATIA - SCHUBERT BUNIATISHVILI KHATIA - SCHUBERT Having blazed her way into public consciousness with her fearlessness on stage as well as on record, Georgian-born pianist Khatia Buniatishvili has become known for her distinctive artistic approach and bold interpretive flair, which combine to make her playing and performances both unmistakable and unmissable. Celebrated by media around the world, she has been described by The Observer as one of todays most exciting and technically gifted young pianists, while Madame Figaro has called her the popstar of the classical music world, adding that with Khatia Buniatishvili, only the repertoire is classical. As for the rest, theres no limit. This brilliant young musician now turns her attention to Franz Schubert (17971828) in her eagerly anticipated first recording of the composers works, including his great last Piano Sonata D 960, the four popular Impromptus D 899, and Liszts arrangement of Standchen from Schwanengesang. The Schubert album follows on from Buniatishvilis acclaimed series of single-composer albums for Sony Classical already featuring Liszt, Chopin and Rachmaninoff, as well as her two fascinating collections Motherland and Kaleidoscope. Khatia Buniatishvili made her debut as a soloist with an orchestra when she was only six years old; by the age of ten she had played in Europes most prestigious halls, as well as in Israel and the United States of America, and has never looked back. Her career has advanced into many new dimensions, especially since receiving the Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award in 2010 and participating in the pioneering BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists scheme (200911), as well as twice receiving the ECHO Klassik Award. Much in demand internationally, she performs regularly at leading halls around the world with top orchestras and conductors of the day.

Euphoria sits at the crossroads of a very exciting time in the early 1990s when artists like Seefeel, Moonshake, and Aphex Twin were mining emerging technologies and pushing British music in new directions. A leftfield electronic pop album without peer, Euphoria incorporates programmed beats, elements of neoclassical minimalism, and the soothing voice and acerbic lyrics of singer Kirsty Yates into a memorable and masterful collection of songs that sound Like nothing else, either then or now. Reviews at the time reference composers like Steve Reich and Brian Eno as well as groups like My Bloody Valentine and AR Kane and describe it as being both ''danceable'' and ''ambient''. Originally released on 4AD offshoot label Guernica (Unrest, Bettie Serveert, Spoonfed Hybrid), it made many year-end lists in 1993 and demands rediscovery and reappraisal in 2019 given our current era of genre-splicing experimentation. Licensed from 4AD and remastered by Julian Tardo from HD audio files transferred from the original tapes, the LP will feature the original packaging as well as a new insert with press clippings from the era and liner notes by Simon Reynolds, who coined the term ''post-rock'' while writing about the group in 1993. HANCOCK HERBIE - DIRECTSTEP HANCOCK HERBIE - DIRECTSTEP Discográfica:   Get On Down 2019 Black Friday Record Store Day Throughout the 1970s, legendary jazz pianist and composer Herbie Hancock engaged in a prolonged period of experimentation across sounds and recording formats, releasing several albums for Columbia that were only issued in Japan. 1979's Directstep was one such album, one that made use of a new form of recording technology called Direct-To-Disc. This method recorded masters, in real time, to acetate discs, rendering incredibly high fidelity LP pressings, but sacrificing the ability to edit or overdub, a challenge Hancock and his group were more than up to. Directstep utilized other technological advancements as well, incorporating brand new electronic instrument technology such as the electronic wind instrument the Lyricon, the freshly released Propet-5 synthesizer, and of course the Sennheiser Vocoder which would become a key part of the artist's arsenal during his electro-funk period in the 1980s. Beyond all that, Directstep is an incredibly solid collection of Herbie Hancock material, featuring stirring remakes of Hancock staples Butterfly and I Thought It Was You as well as brand new track Shiftless Shuffle.
