Uno de los guitarristas más eclécticos de la década de los sesenta, cuya mezcla singular de folk, blues y jazz lo convirtió en catalizador  de la escena folk británica. Su legendario single Angi, que  Paul Simon  llevó de UK a EEUU y grabó, fue publicado por  Topic  en 1962, y tuvo una enorme influencia en toda una generación de guitarristas de  folk-blues  británico, desde los  Pentangle Renbourn  o  Jansch  hasta  Ralph McTell, pasando por  Roy Harper,  Sir Martin Carthy,  Donovan  o  Alvin Lee.  Davy Graham  fue el maestro de todos ellos a pesar de ser escasamente un par de años mayor.
